Why you don’t need to stretch your shoulder

If you’re tight, you normally think stretching is a good idea.

And it is … for majority of the body.

Most of the time the shoulder does NOT need to be stretched and here’s why.

Your shoulder is designed to achieve 360 degrees of movement in all directions.

Because of this fact, your shoulder is made to be extremely flexible.

When you are able to get full range of motion, you have to sacrifice some stability and strength.

And the reverse is also true, if your muscles can get tight if they are too strong.

For this reason, it if more beneficial to have stronger shoulders than to make them more flexible.

And the best way to do that is exercise.

I have two videos below showing the best ways to switch on the stabilising muscles of the shoulders.

Give theses exercises a go before your next workout and let me know if you still feel tight!

If it still feels tight, click here to book or give us a buzz on 0402 832 329 and we can get it better ! :)

Thank you for your time.

Warm regards,
